Greetings in the name of Jesus. I pray that you are walking in the peace of God during these tumultuous times. Although our daily routine has been interrupted and restricted, we will still make every effort to minister to our church body. Because of the unpredictable, fast changing events regarding COVID-19, this letter comes to you.
To comply with the recommendations of the CDC and our local officials on limited gatherings, The Tabernacle Church in Metairie is implementing the following changes regarding when and how we meet:
Sunday service: Until otherwise announced, we will be bringing a Sunday morning message from the Word via a premiered video on The Tabernacle Church in Metairie’s Facebook page starting at 10:00AM on Sunday, March 22nd. Wednesday
Life Group: Our weekly life group teaching previously held at French Press will also be aired as a premiered video on The Tabernacle Church in Metairie’s Facebook page on Wednesday nights at 7:00PM. Please Friend Request anyone you know from church who is not on our Facebook page or anyone else you can think of who might want to view our services.
Additionally, I am excited to tell you that we have signed a lease and have begun renovation on a space in the Napoleon Plaza at 4941C West Napoleon to house our Metairie church. I will keep you updated on the progress of that renovation as well as any changes to the above methods of communication.
Considering these difficult times, I am asking the members of the Metairie church to be sensitive to the needs of those most vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus. Please make an effort to communicate with your family and church to identify any assistance they might need.
In conclusion, it is important that we remember God’s promise:
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
